Duct Cleaner, Booster for Dust Collection Systems

This air duct cleaner functions similar to a duct booster fan, keeping dust collection systems clean and safe.

  • Clean Dust Drop-out in ductwork to dust collectors

  • Unplug blockages in pneumatic conveying

  • Easy solution to boost low flow conditions in ducts

  • Reduce Fire and Explosion hazards in ducts

  • Clean out dust accumulations in spark arrestors and other devices in airstreams

  • Simple duct cleaning mechanism

  • Simply insert in the duct section to retrofit an existing system

  • Uses advanced pulse jet technology

  • Each pulse boosts air flow velocity by 2-4 times

  • Cleans up to 100 feet of duct

  • Available in a all duct sizes

Duct Cleaner

Booster installed in a 64 inch duct

The BOOSTER is used to accelerate the flow velocity in a ventilating duct up to 5,000-8,000 feet per minute, applying advanced pulse jet dust collector technology.

Safely propels the dust accumulated in the duct toward the dust collector.

Cleans 100 feet or so of duct work. Below, we have an outline of the Booster - Duct Cleaner installed in a duct.

Booster, Duct Cleaner

In a typical application, see above:

Initial duct velocity is 1500 FPM.
Dust is dropping to the bottom of the duct, causing a fire hazard.
A periodic 15 millisecond pulse of compressed air is blown down the duct.

The duct velocity is boosted to 3600 FPM.
The dust is blown down the duct towards the dust collector.

Control of the Booster - Duct Cleaner

Two methods can be used:
  1. We use the output from one of the positions on the dust collector's pulse sequencer, controlling the cleaning cycle of the bag cleaning system, the length of pulse would be typically 0.10 to 0.15 seconds.
  2. The duct cleaner can also be actuated by a manual push button.
